1. As a chiropractor we are trained to diagnose a range of medical conditions and to treat and manage many neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. If there is a suspicion of any underlying non treatable conditions we will work with you to plan the best way forward, often via your GP.
  2. We work with the nerves, muscles and bones in the human body to diagnose and treat problems in these nerves and the musculoskeletal system that can result from accidents, stress, lack of exercise, excessive weight, poor posture at home and work and post illness and surgical issues.
  3. We use a range of techniques depending on your condition: we may manipulate and mobilise (move) parts of your spine or joints and carry out soft tissue techniques as well as providing advice on exercise, diet and lifestyle changes to help manage your condition and stop it reoccurring.
  4. Treatment is usually painless unless the area being treated is already inflamed in which case the chiropractor will alter the treatment. Sometimes you will hear a clicking or popping noise during treatment which is nothing to be worried about. Some patients have mild reactions to treatment such as joint and muscle aches and pains; however, these are usually very temporary
